Open "Start" menu, choose "Control Panel"

Now choose „Network and Internet“.
NB! If your Control Panel does not look like the screenshot below,
click on "Control Panel Home" in the left menu.

Choose „Network & Sharing Center“

After clicking „Network and Sharing Center“, the menu on the left changes.
Choose „Manage Network Connections“ from the left menu.

Now right-click on "Local Area connection" and then click on "Properties" in the menu.
NB! If you have multiple "Local Area Connection" items, you may need to apply
steps 5 - 7 of this guide to each connection.

Under „Local Area Connection Properties“
select „Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)“ and click „Properties“.

Make sure that „Obtain an IP address automatically“ and
„Obtain DNS server address automatically“ are both selected.
Then click "OK“ and your connection is configured.

NB: If you have active UAC (User Acces Control), then Windows might ask you
to authenticate multiple times . In these cases press „Continue“.
