[ English ] Network configuration (DHCP) - Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

  1. From the "Apple menu", select  "System Preferences"

  2. In "System Preferences", select "Network"  or type "Network" into the search box.

  3. Change „Location“ from "Automatic" to „Built-in Ethernet

  4. Under "TCP/IP", make sure that „Configure IPv4“ is set to „Using DHCP“.
    If not, then click on the "Lock icon" in the lower left corner and change it to "Using DHCP"

NB! You may not be able to change your configuration if your network cable is connected.
In that case, unplug the cable, make the changes and re-plug it.
